There are four reasons why your support of Special Needs Sports makes a real impact in the lives of special needs kids who don’t feel at home in a regular sports activity.
1. We follow an alternative approach to coach our kids in the game of sports
We listen to our kids and prioritize their most urgent needs.
We know that traditional solutions will never adequately address the challenges our kids face.
2. We are efficient stewards of the money entrusted to us.
You can trust that your donations are used wisely. We’ve used 95 percent of our resources to fund programs that give children sports access in Montreal and Ottawa. This includes the necessary sports equipment. Only 5 percent goes to administrative costs.
3. We deliver results:
Providing individual attention and patience.
Creating new techniques, programs and methods.
Caring for and nurturing the whole person.
Advocating for individuals with special needs kids and teens.
4. We hold ourselves accountable to the donors and the people we serve. Among our core values is accountability. We believe that it is our job to be as effective as we can with the financial resources entrusted to us. We constantly monitor and evaluate the efficiency of our programs.
We are primarily funded through the support of grants. We also raise funds through individual donors, foundations and community partnerships. This helps us to keep lesson fees as low as possible.
We are incredibly thankful for the support that enables us to do the work that helps so many families with kids and teens with special needs.
